Myspace and Facebook and Blogs... oh my!!
The only way to stay in the loop or meet new people these days is through social media outlets such as Myspace, or Facebook or Blogging about your problems. No longer do you say to people let me get your phone number or email or address. Now it is what is your myspace or let me get your facebook or check me out on my blog. The world has changed so drastically that if you don’t have theses social media outlets then you are viewed as weird or abnormal. It is a sad day when having a myspace account is the norm. But if you can’t beat them join them. That is why I have two blogs, a myspace account, and a facebook. Since this is the way the world is heading I figured that I mine as well keep up.
I still wish more people interacted socially, and not through theses outlets, but one can only hope…
If you are interested in looking me up on one of those social outlets here you go…

weekly blog post

So welcome to another fun and exciting day on Aaron's Epic blog. This week I will be writing on a very important issue that happens this week. It is a huge event that happens on TV and starts this week. Not sure what Im talking about... Well it involves a certain super celebrity.
It is the triumphant return of Tela Tequila! I know not the presidential primary or the great sporting events going on, but this is important none the less. One is because I loved the original and was so glad when Bobby won. But most of all because I cant believe that MTV would give her a second season. Has our society fallen so far that we care so much about a myspace celebrity that used to be a dancer. Apperantly yes if we are asking my opinion, since I will most certainly be watching the premeire. But what I want to know is why do so many care about something so insignificant? Why dont we care more about important stuff like the presidential race or what is going on in other countries? I feel that Our society has fallen far from a society that cares about whats going on in the world. Unfortunately we care more about who is sleeping with who than who is ahead in the superdelagate race. But why? What caused us to care about things that matter so little? This is something that I wonder about all the time. Maybe it has a little to do with sex appeal? I mean sex definitely sells...

Well now that I have told you how I really feel lets get to the good part. So things must not have worked out between Tela and Bobby or else there wouldnt be a second season. So what happened? I hope they tell us tomorrow night. Also if you want to see what Im talking about it will be on MTV tomorrow night at 10 pm.

Spitzer scores!!! more like a strike out...
He was found involved in a prostitution ring in Washington. He "used" the service 8 times and his main call girl was a 22 year old female by the name of Ashley Dupre. He was a governor that was all about morals and doing whats right. Then he goes and spends over $80,000 dollars on call girls. That doesn't seem to be what is right or morally sound. He resigned because of the incident, and now the Lt. Governor will take over. It will be the first time the state of New York will have a blind and black governor.
Now that you are caught up on the situation let me put in my two cents. What the hell was he thinking! Are you serious?! How can he pay for sex? How can he cheat on his wife with multiple women? Women that sell there bodies for that matter. This is a terrible thing and something that he should be very ashamed of. I can't believe that his wife is going to stand by his side on this. She is a better women than I could ever be, literally and figuratively.
On the bright side at least the call girls were decent looking. And now one of them is getting free publicity. Hey who said there is no such thing as bad publicity?
Here is her myspace if you want to check it out...

not a link since I couldnt find her...

Weekly blog
This week we were told to read a blog by Ryan Sholin that is titled "links that redefine news" as you can tell by this catchy title the site has many links with web pages that are very unique ways of handling the news. Of all of the different links that were on the site there were a couple that caught my attention.
The first link that caught my eye was ...
- Politifact - St. Petersburg Times & Congressional Quarterly

this is an example of a half true statement that Hillary Clinton said. I found this both humerus and very informative. It helps the public know more about what the politicians are really saying when they open their political mouths.
The other site that I found useful was ...
Election headlines - KnoxNews & Publish2
This site gives the public all of the info, facts and opinions relating to the upcoming

Cluetrain Manifesto???
In just a few more years, the current homogenized "voice" of business—the sound of mission statements and brochures—will seem as contrived and artificial as the language of the 18th century French court.
Already, companies that speak in the language of the pitch, the dog-and-pony show, are no longer speaking to anyone.
This didn't seem to relate to me or make a lot of sense. Not all of them are confusing or difficult to understand here is one that I liked a lot.
There are no secrets. The networked market knows more than companies do about their own products. And whether the news is good or bad, they tell everyone.
number 12 seemed very true. In business everyone knows everything about the products and whether the product is good or bad everyone is going to find out about it. There truly are no secrets. I also liked number 17 because it talks about my major advertising.
Companies that assume online markets are the same markets that used to watch their ads on television are kidding themselves.
this is very applicable today especially since the internet is talking over advertising and online advertising is the way of the future since everything is going viral. one that got a rise out of me was number 74.
We are immune to advertising. Just forget it.
This is a huge problem for me because if this is true then i am totally screwed since advertising is something that i want to do for awhile. If people just forget about advertising than a lot of products wouldnt sell and this would be terrible for the economy. So hopefully this thesis is one that is definitely not true.
It is weird that this was written about a decade ago. And a lot of these still apply today especially since the internet is such a huge part of the world today.

Late breaking blog post...literally
1. Super Bowl ads
2. Presidential Debates
3. Some event on campus which I know nothing about
This is a really tough decision for me. I have no idea what I should choose. They are all such amazing choices. Well lets flip a coin, heads I choose super bowl and tails I choose presidential debates, Because lets be honest there is no way I'm picking number three. (coin is now flipping in the air... I know that the suspense is killing you... it's heads!)
Well as you can see I have chosen(by a very scientific process) to write my blog about the ads that played during the super bowl. Now these aren't your ordinary ads. These are the greatest ads of all time. People spend an average of over 2.5 million dollars for an ad during the super bowl. I don't know about you but that is a lot of money to spend in 30 seconds. So if I am going to spend that much money then a lot of people had better see my ad. Well rest assured not only did a lot of people watch the super bowl, but 97.5 million people to be exact. That makes it the second most watched TV show of all time. Now enough about how important the ads need to be on such a high volume stage lets talk about my three favorite.
1.Tide - Stain
The reason this one is my favorite is because it made me laugh so loud that I will never forget this commercial. If you haven't seen it you need to go to youtube and find it, I promise its worth it.
2.Lifewater - Thriller
First of all it has thriller in the title so you know its good. And who doesn't like a bunch of lizards dancing like Michael Jackson. This commercial helps prove that Michael Jackson is timeless.
3.Deit Pepsi- What is love?
No comment... this one is so incredibly funny, you just have to go see it. Trust me.
This is only three of so many amazing commercials. Super bowl ads mean a lot of things to a lot of people. For example it is a make or break for some companies. They will spend their entire advertising budget on one ad for the super bowl, and if the ad tanks than so does the company's profit for that year. Also if an advertising firm is hired to do a super bowl ad for some company and the ad fails than you can expect a lot of people to lose their jobs.
Another reason I feel that these commercials are different from all others. Is because it sparks so much conversation every year. You can say to someone "hey did you see such and such ad?" and if they haven't then you can laugh at them and tell them how stupid they are for missing it. I'm only kidding of course. These are the only commercials that people dont skip over with Tivo. These commercials are a part of our pop culture and they demand to be watched. So if you haven't seen them or you weren't one of the 97.5 million people watching then shame on you and hurry and watch these before you become the "karen" of the group. The only reason that is acceptable for missing some of the super bowl is if you were "watching family guy". Then you are forgiven provided you watched most of it. Many people don't even watch for the game, they just want to see the commercials. So now you know the best ones. So make sure to watch next year or just find them online. Have a great day and thanks for reading my super long rant about super bowl ads. Aren't you glad it landed on heads instead of tails?

special word

Wayward...
Don't know what that means.
After looking it up on dictionary.com I discovered that it means turned or turning away from what is right or proper; willful; disobedient.
If I had to use it in a sentence it would go a little bit like this...
The wayward cow is starting to get on my nerves.
I found this word in the San Jose Mercury News.
